Hello lads, in a surface submerged in a fluid, is there a way to calculate traction force without using the stress? I know the definition is of traction t is

f=T.n

(traction vector f equals inner product of stress tensor T inner product with vector n)
where n is the unit vector normal to the submerged surface, but is there another way of calculating it?
