Axisymmetric Swirl
Hi,
Iam solving fluid flow in a 3D configuration having axisymmetric swirl... I created a 2D mesh in gambit and used solver model of fluent having axisymmetric swirl and I am getting quite decent results through it...But, I want to solve the same problem in CFX...AFAIK, CFX is a 3D solver so it generates axisymmetric 2D model by creating one layer thick 3D model..Does there exists some similar procedure to solve axisymmetric swirl models in CFX |
2D axisymmetric model in fluent
Hi,
I read your post and was wondering whether you know how i can simulate a plain orifice atomizer in 2D. I have set the model up but when i begin the simulation it is not running. I keep getting divergence detected in AMG solver-x momentum. I have the same case in 3D and it runs fine. Any idea what i must do to get it right? The nozzle is located along the axis, precisely at the origin. Thanks! Jimmy |
