Hi

I am looking for an advanced fluid mechanics book with plenty of examples and problems + solutions to the problems. I have "transport phenomena" by Bird and co, and it is well equipped with examples, but I would like a book where I have access to solutions to the problems also (which I have not for the mentioned book). Can anyone recommend a book that fulfils the needs described?

I think a good avenue would be to get a solution manual to a Fluid Mechanics book. I see them on Ebay and Amazon. A lot of the solution manuals will have the problem statement with the solution.

What do you mean by advanced???

Advanced in FM mean generaly special topics and I don't think that there is one book which treat them all thoroughly. By the way, there are dedicated books for this kind of advanced topics as you can see by yourself in the book section of this web site. (Turbulence, Aerodynamics, Gas dynamics, Compressible flows,...)

Well, take a look first at "Boundary Layer Theory" by Schlichting and "Fluid Mechanics" by White.
