deforming meshes

hi,
is there some kind of remeshing after several timesteps when using deforming meshes or is there just deformation, so that one can use this method only for oscillatory movement? does anybody know a good paper where I can read about this? david |

It seems that transfinite interpolation can be used for deforming meshes. but I am not sure which AIAA paper has detail.

If u are using structured grids, u can check out "Unsteady flow calculations with a multi-block moving mesh algorithm" AIAA-2000-1002. Its arc-based TFI is much faster and higher quality compared to Batina's spring mtd. Hope it helps.
