Physical meaning of TKE

Can any body tell me the physical meaning of turbulent kinetic energy and eddy viscosity.

The TKE is just the kinetic energy in the fluctuating parts of the flow, i.e. everything but the mean KE. It is thus a measure of the "strength" of the turbulence, and the distribution of KE across different length scales or eddies. Eddy viscosity a modelling or numerical concept, there is no physical meaning to it besides the fact that it aims to mimic the dissipative effect of the unresolved scales.
