Is the boundary condition applied in this system is valid ??
I am using staggered grid & fractional step method to solve Incompressible NS Eqs.

Greetings,

I do not really understand what you want to test. It looks like you will be able to simulate nothing!

Regards,

There is an oscillating body inside the domain, which will cause an oscillating flow.

The Dirichlet pressure boundary condition we can apply only when the flow will be fully developed at the outlet.

Based on Re the Channel is long enough to assure fully developed flow at both ends.

The boundary condition then seems fine. Since, the oscillating body inside will be something like the source term for Navier-Stokes. Also, how you are giving these oscillating conditions.

Immersed Boundary Method (IBM)

As far as I know, At inlet (velocity to be specified, pressure to be interpolated) and At outlet (velocity to be specified, pressure to be interpolated) for Incompressible flows.

Since I am not working with fractional step method, I don't know whether you can use Pressure boundary condition on both inlet and outlet.

I am still waiting for any one (has experience) to confirm weather i can or can't use these BC !!!
