3D boundary condition

Default 3D boundary condition

In a 3D external flow problem, simply put, for a flat plate, how to give the boundary conditions (the inflow, outflow, upper boundary, and side boundary conditions)? Is it acceptable to extrapolate from interior in dealing with upper and side boundaries?
