Old Fashioned Geometric Design

Hi to everyone,

i'm working on my own 3D panel code and i'm trying to implement a simple geometric model for the entire aircraft. What i have are two different models, the NACA 4-digit wing model (with spanwise variation of the coefficients) and the super-ellipse cross section with variation of the coefficients along the fuselage. Now i would combine the two models but i don't know how to make the intersections and obtain two surfaces that exactly match in the same grid points. Any help is appreciated.

Have a look at Open Cascade (www.opencascade.org)

Re: Old Fashioned Geometric Design

Thanks for your suggestion, it is a very interesting site, but what i'm looking for is a low level mathematical tool because i'm not able to handle such complex surfaces (NURBS, B-Splines). What i need is more like:

"Given the points on a boundary of a 3D surface and the approximate slopes at this boundary (in function of adjacent points) how can i obtain the internal points of the surface that is as smooth as possible?"

Obviously i'm looking for the simplest method available because i will handle always the same case and i don't want to build a CAD.

Thanks again.
