Hi
I'm simulating flow in a tube with twisted tape inserts. Boundary conditions are velocity inlet at inlet and pressure outlet at outlet. wall boundary condition is imposed at the tube wall and tape insert.
When I calculate the friction coefficient using the equation f = dP / (L/D) / (ro*V^2/2) ( dP= Pressure lost, L = Length of the tube, D=diameter of the tube, ro= density, V= inlet velocity) It is almost twice the value calculated by others.
It would be great if someone could help me and tell me what to do.
thanks
