Hi, Anon

What I repeatly claim here is that this whole topics runs beyond of the objective of this forum. This is not a place where we attack others. CFD-Online, especially this section aims at sharing our sophisticated experiece about CFD, if any, with others. Again, I hope we can stop here. If you really what to debate something with me, we can privately do it, but not here. I have provided email address in this post. Now some simple comments to your last post.

>Ironically, I have achieved way more than I had originally >aimed for. In fact, I am still registered with the said >institution & have been going through their process. So, ?>actually, no - I'm not a looser. The main problem is that >my research work has simply risen above the level of local >academic support - period. There is little they have been >able to add for at least the past year.

Ohh, really?

>In parallel, I have made plans towards converting my >research work over to a reputable Distance Learning >university where the academic support personnel will >hopefully push my research work a little further towards >the end-game.

Why are you able to get this oppertunity? Your hard work? your outputs of research work during your Ph.D study?

>My previous comments were made so that others can learn >from the difficulties faced by intelligent, hard-working, >serious western researchers who end up studying in Asia - >with all good intentions.

Too much private flavors with no supports was added to your previous comments.

>(So thank you Harry for your vitriol, but it was not >warranted. This was not meant as a personal attack >session, please refrain from a flame-war.

What is warranted. All your comments? when you are attacking others, you should take this key point into your comments.

Regards,

Harry

Re: PhD in China

hi,

I am a chinese and I finished my PhD in Europe. From my point of view, it is attractive to have a phD degreee in China. Because you can learn the language, you can know the different culture, you can eat the perfect meal in the world:)... And the most important is there is a huge CFD market in China. It is on the beginning, while the beginners always get the best chances!

Talking about universities, you can check "Top ten unvisities in China". Most of them have a CFD research group.
