micro channel heat exchanger design
 

Hello everybody,

I am interested in micro channel flows and I have seen one paper related with simulation of the flow with CFD ACE+.　I would like to talk in detail with people interested in this field. My special interest is related with the micro channel heat exchanger design and optimization.

Hey, I am currently doing my masters thesis on this topic as well, focusing on liquid cooling of electronic packages. Hope to share some info with you. Thxs. Melvin

Thanks for your reply. It is nice to know this actually. I will also pursue for my master degree in the University of Tokyo. I will try to understand what is going on fundamentally inside the channel.

What kind of liquid, water, or any other refrigerant do you use? Is it experimental or numerical study? If numerical, the is it a commercial code or any other?

I also know someone who will soon be involved in designing microchannel condensers and evaporators ... it will be interesting to see how to make large 4 meter long heat exchangers for the hvac industry.. I'll keep an eye on it as I'll prepare for my master

hi iam srikanth ns doing my masters i am working on the cooling of micro chips using micro channels ....i want to do thermo fluid performance studies of micro channel using fluent ....i just want to know related to meshing of micro channels whether any extra care has to be taken esspecially for micro channel meshing how does it differ from conventional meshing.......pls help me out in this
