Hey A.S If you find any one please send me.

do you have any idea to do the multispool simulation using commercial softwares.

Do We need special treatment of mixing plane, if yes how?

Do you think commercial softwares are good enough to do these simulations e.g multistage even multispool. I guess they can not.

Any suggetion will be highly appreciated

StarCCM+, it you can set different rotational speed for different domains, you can set conter-rotating spools. CD-adapco has very good mesh generator for turbomachinery called ES-Turbo. Try it.

Dear A.S.

a good resourse is the qnet. Orignally started by Dr. Hirsch who it heavily into multi-stage turbomachinery.

I know it is still around but not sure if you can get an active membership I heard that it might be rolled into the ERCOFTAC work?

Check out:

http://www.qnet-cfd.net/workshop/1st...p09_slides.pdf

There are several multistage cases discussed.
