Hello.

This summer I will have free time (Awesome ) and I want to improve my mesh generation skill, what do you thik that is the best mesh generation software?

I have experiencience with ICEM CFD and Gambit. But I am open to learn about new tools even if they are based only on code

Thank you in advance.

You can look into GridPro which is a structured grid generation software. It will help you understand the blocking strategy for structured grid.

ANSYS TurboGrid would be a nice option, if you are looking for something other than ICEM CFD. Not quite sure, how you will manage to get access for that software.

As you said you have already some experience with meshing software, why not to learn a solver this summer

But if you still prefer meshing, then I would suggest Star-CCM+. This will be a complete package i.e., both mesher, solver and post processor. Please refer the following link :
http://www.learncax.com/index.php/en...tware/star-ccm
The best thing is you will get free software access too.

But if you are interested only in meshing and free stuffs, then you might like this. Please have a look at the following blog on 'Grid Generation for CFD Simulation : Insights with Demo'
http://www.learncax.com/index.php/en...ghts-with-demo
There is a small demo video on blocking procedure at the end of this blog.

If you are not a reader type and prefer to watch and listen then here is the free webinar video on the same topic:
http://learncax.com/index.php/en/web...fd-simulations
But for this you need to register (free) first. The information is available on the website.

Also there is a free course on ANSYS TGrid - Meshing software : http://www.learncax.com/index.php/en...o-tgrid-detail

For more technical information on CFD, blogs and free webinars, please log on to www.LearnCAx.com

Happy Learning!!!
