Euler equations: steady state solution

Hi!

I'm implementing a code for solving the 2D Euler equations for an inviscid compressible fluid. I'm testing my code with some typical test cases found in the literature such as the subsonic flow around a circle. The time marching is performed until the density residual in L2 norm is 10^{-10}. I obtain correct solutions in the large majority of the simulations but in some cases I found that the residual convergence stops at 10^{-8}.

Anyboudy knows some possible reasons for this behavior.

Thank you very much in advance!

Rubén

Re: Euler equations: steady state solution

The scheme used in your code will influence the result! Some shemes only rearch that precision!
