(1). I used to have a copy of free demo program of Tecplot about 9 years ago. (2). You can contact vendor of Tecplot to see whether they still have a demo version of the Tecplot. (3). If you like it and think it fits your need, I think it is a good idea to get a full version.

you can download GiD at http://gid.cimne.upc.es/ you can get a free full version and one month licence.
