Dear Friends,

I need some comment regarding to stress analysis of maching weel ring, i put its geometry on this link:

http://mehr.sharif.ir/~tav/ring.htm

my questions:

- is it possible to consider this part in service condition as static (i need relative stress distribution, not accurate)?

- if we consider static condition, what is stress-displacement boundary condition on boundaries 1-4?

- i think that traction-free bc for 2 and 4, zero displacement for 1 and stress (along x) for bc 3 is feasible, is this correct?

- is any volumetric body force is required for stress analysis of this part?

Thanks.
