How to smooth hexa mesh externally in ICEM?

Hi, there! I created a hexa mesh which is very large of the order of millions, when I smoothed it in the mesh editor, the editor quickly jumped out and hung, but the mesh was nothing changed! I am using ICEM CFD 10.0. Is there anyone who can tell me how to go through the procedures? Many thanks in advance!

Personally I would use the blocking procedure and the 'check' features within the blocking process to get the mesh to be a good enough quality. The hexa mesh smoothing in ICEM is really too complex to be of any real use.

Hello,

Yes, even I would prefer checking the quality inside the blocking option. There, it's more convenient to understand and correct the errors. In mesh editor, the smoothing option is auto and thus we don't have much control over it. It is useful only when we generate tetra mesh.
