Dear Experts,

I am trying simulate the Joule Heating in ANSYS CFX. However, initially I would like to compare an ANSYS's result versus an analytical solution.

Did anyone by chance had an opportunity to see the analytical solution for a one dimensional heat transfer problem in an uniform body by the Joule heating effect.

I would really appreciate any help.

Regards,
Nurzhan

The analytical solution to this problem is written by Carslaw and Jaeger in "Conduction of Heat in Solids" (1967) p.130, Oxford Press.
