AXISYMMETRIC FLOW IN A CYLINDER

I am looking for published numerical results for the following problem :
A fully filled cylindrical cavity has a top lid (circular) which is rotating with a constant angular velocity. The recirculating, axisymmetric flow inside the cylinder soon attains Steady state (for low Re). If anybody has come across a similar kind of problem in the literature, please let me know. Thanks in advance. - Abhijit |

Here's a reference for a numerical simulation of that problem. I haven't read the paper, but attended a seminar Dr. Sotiropoulos gave on this subject. If I remember correctly he's interested in asymmetries in the flow at moderate to high Reynolds numbers.
