hi,
is there any difference between Weakly compressible vs Artificial compressibility methods? Thanks. |

Artificial compressibility methods work in roughly the opposite way. They start as fully compressible, often density-based and/or explicit methods, and attempt to model incompressible flow by artificially tweaking the Mach number to balance stability constraints versus the introduction of spurious compressibility. So, the former is generally an incompressible scheme tweaked to admit some weak compressibility. The latter is generally a compressible scheme tweaked to approximately model incompressible flow. |

Thanks Michael Prinkey.!This is what i understood.
Incompressible flow algorithms are used for compressible flow through weakly compressible method. Compressible flow algorithms are used for incompressible flows through Artificial compressibility method. |
