Plese forgive the lack of proper terminology, I am not an engineer, just a photographer by trade who has learned to observe, and uses common sense regarding physics to solve this problem, it has got me this far ( patented, licensed and in produciton).

I have invented a litte gadget that shoots bubble rings underwater, actually it shoots toroids of water underwater and the air rings travel along for the ride. So far they travel about 40' horizontally, it's quite a hoot. Here is a YouTube Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPDpKdKjqm8

For the given size of this device, I am trying to increase the speed of the toroids as they travel forward through the water column and I am having trouble increasing their speed. An increased psi of air into the piston does not help, the toroids seem to exit the nozel very quickly then slow down to a sort of terminal velocity within about 2', then travel as fast down range as a normally powered toroid shot from a sister gun.

Is it possible to have a discussion or hire somebody who is versed in this very unique field of forming toroids traveling through a liquid?

I imagine a solution might be in the nozzle shape, size of the barrel, speed of the trigger snap, etc. etc. But as I mentioned, I do not want to increase the size of the device.

There are a few still shots so you can all see what I have cooked up. If you all can point me towards a person who might have the knowledge to help it will be appreciated.
