Channel flow set up
 

Hi, I am going to do channel flow simulation based on friction velocity. When I did channel flow simulation based on bulk velocity, I used laminar profile and random disturbance for the initial condition. Then I gave a forcing to match wall shear stresses for every time step. Now I need to do channel simulation based on friction velocity. In this case, forcing term can be constant, but how do I set up initial velocity ? If anyone has an idea about this, please let me know. Thank you.

see flecther book part 2 page 150 there is a program for shock wave but written in fortran 90 not matlab.
