WHAT TURBULENCE LENGTH TO USE?

I'm running a 2D simulation of low Reynolds airfoil. I have difficulty with what value to use for the turbulence length. I know i have to know the hydraulic diameter to get this but i'm not sure of what value i should use for that as well. Any help?

Hydraulic diametrer= 4*Area/Perimter of the opening.

Turbulent length scale represents the size of structures you expect in the flow. Have you tried using the chord length ?
