Hi,

I've a question regarding the submission of a paper. I had given a presentation during one of the APS (American physical society) meeting. Now I would like to submit a paper based on the same topic to a journal. Should I mention somewhere in the paper that some materials have been presented before in a meeting?

If so, where is it usually mention? Or it does not matter at all?

Thanks alot!

No, it should not matter. The publication of an abstract in the conference brochure doesn't count. However, if you received some valuable feedback or advice during your presentation, feel free to mention this in an acknowledgment.
