Hi all,

I have a question about ICEM CFD. I just want to export a simple mesh in the *.msh fluent format. So:

-> in output I chose the Fluent_V6 solver -> then file/export mesh

And there is no possibility for Fluent MSH format ? How is it possible ?

Thanx a lot

Lionel

You have to select tab "Output". Then click on first icon ("Select solver) and selcet Fluent_V6. Next step is click on last icon in the row ("Write input"). Written file would be *.msh file.

"Written file would be *.msh file"

Thank you for the tip... It seems that in fact, it first asks the *.uns file as input, and then it shows the dialog for translation.

That's why I didn't understand it first

Best, Lionel

The .uns is the ICEM format mesh. If you have multiple .uns files, you select which mesh you want to convert to Fluent .msh format.

It may be that if you have the ICEM native mesh already loaded into memory, that it just uses that by default...

Gert-Jan will become famous soon enough
1) Do not hijack someone elses thread. Please start a new thread with a new topic.
2) You should go to Edit Mesh > Check Mesh

There you should perform all the (default) checks and make sure you repair all errors. Uncovered faces in your case. Mostly you can skip the Possible problems.

Good Luck, Gert-Jan
