For the Van-Leer harmonic function what happens when the denominator is zero?

g_i = a_i+0.5 * a_i-0.5 + fabs(a_i+0.5 * a_i-0.5)/(a_i+0.5 + a_i-0.5) where a_i+0.5 = inverse(R)*(U_i+1 - U_i)
