About History of Computational fluid dynamics

Hi everybody, I'm looking for some information about CFD's history. In particulare about the application into 3d world... can someone help me?

Dear Giada,

For a nice read, look into Anderson's Computational Fluid Dynamics and references therein.

Another way to get some info is to look for review articles on CFD. See for example the journal Progress in Aerospace Sciences.

I think an another way is to read Journal Of Computational Physics. CFD is not only an Aerospace problem...

For a book I recommend Ferziger & Peric which wrote a very relevant book.

Is possible to have a internet reference, or article, of CFD's history? Tnk for the help! :)

You probably should look at

"The Emergence of Numerical Weather Prediction: Richardson's Dream" by P. Lynch (Cambridge University Press).

since it contains the history up to and including the first CFD calculation.

The most influential group in the early days of CFD was almost certainly the T3 group at Los Alamos:
