Default Solid EOS

Hi

I need EOS for a Solid phase. Can some one introduce an EOS in the form:

P = ?????

i.e. an EOS similar to the ideal gas. Am modeling a mixture of gas-solid two-phase flow, 1-D.

See the stiffened gas EOS. This provides parameters for various media which are solid, liquid and gas. Good luck.

Or you can also see the Gruneisen EOS. The stiffened gas EOS is a reduced form of the Gruneisen EOS.

i have looked to Gruneisen EOS but i couldn't derive a formula for:

P = .........

can we use the ideal gas EOS for a solid? i.e. P = k \rho^{gamma -1}

Many thanks for your reply. I hope you, or any one out there, will help me about the following. The EOS is:

e_{k} = \frac{P_{k} + \gamma_{k} P_{0}}{\rho_{k} (\gamma_{k} - 1)} where k = g (gas), s (solid)

* For the GAS phase I have taken:

P_{g} = K_{g} \rho_{g}^{(\gamma_{g} - 1)}

with P_{0} = 0

** what shall I use for the solid phase.

P_{s} = what............. ?

Am doing mathematical analysis for a compressible mixture of gas-solid two-phase flow in 1-D only.
