What's the difference between CFD & FEM-FOR-FLUID?
 
Hi everyone,

I would like to know what is the difference between COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS and FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR FLUID?

Which is FUNDAMENTALS and which is ADVANCED?

CFD refers to any numerical method use to solve fluid flows.

There are several methods to solve flows :

Finite volume method

Finite element method

Boundary element method

Lagrangian method

Discrete element method

etc.
