Dear friends, Here is one more problem of mine.I have been working on fluent and at the moment i want to see how it responds to swirling flowsin combustors. But i am not able to find appropriate inlet condition input where i can give both flow rate and swirl at 45 degree as inlet boundary condition. If velocity is specified by Direction Vector i.e. X,Y,Z component of Flow direction, what values should i give to achieve swirl When Swirler vanes are making an angle of 45 degree with x axis in axissymmetric combustor.

Please let me know the Procedure if anyone of you Know it.

set the inlet boundary type to mass flow, and use mass flux as the specification method. You can then set a mass flow profile i.e. swirl with a direction vector. see p6-37 vol 1 of the fluent users guide
