Hi trying to set up a simple 2D RANS of injector flow
I have what may be a silly question.... I am using the Sandia Spray A information (http://www.sandia.gov/ecn/cvdata/tar...ion/sprayA.php) and I've run into some trouble calculating the velocity at the inlet of the jet/injector. I have tried calculating the mass flow and then solving for V by m(dot) = rho*A*V, but get very unrealistically high answers Also, I have tried using bernoulli's simplified form: v = SQRT(2*[P1-P2)/rho) where rho is for the liquid in each case (789 kg/m3 apprx) and again get very high values.. such as 543 m/s If anyone could explain to me why this is so and has any input or ramifications to make.
