compressible flow algorithm

Dear friends: I have treated the incompressible flow for several years, by using the famous algorithm of Pantakar, simple alogirthm. Now, i want to have some knowledge in the compressible flow expecially the supersonic compressble flow used in the aerodynamic fields. Would you please give me some good references for a start about the solution algorith for the compressble supersonic flow. Regards

Re: compressible flow algorithm

People have extended the simple algorithm for compressible flows. You might want to look into that unless you are more interested in developing a density-based scheme.

Re: compressible flow algorithm

The CFD book by anderson, pletcher and tanheill discuss the implementation of maccormack and beam-warming schemes for density-based solvers. For finite volume implementation you might want to check Blazek.
