no 3D elements found - Procast

Hi,

I cannot find a more suitable forum.
I am trying to do a cast simulation with ESI procast. I managet to import and mesh CAD data. But I cannot run a simulation, it says No 3D elements available. Which is strange, there is a surface mesh ans a 3D tetra mesh.

Any help appreciated.

Steffen

Same Problem

Dear Sir

I wonder if you solve your problem because I'm facing the same issue here. Hope you can help me.

Need your Support

Do you have any tutorial to be as a guide to me for ProCAST 2014??

Steffen595 October 29, 2015 04:32

i found one in the net I think. Unfortunately not many people seem to do casting simulations. Plus its really intense, takes lots of processing power.

Your are right. Can you send me the tutorial you found?? So i can use it in my study.

hello, i have been struck up with horizontal centrifugal casting of Aluminum alloy. The Aluminum melt seems not to be rotating in Procast. if anybody have some solution or tutorial on vertical or horizontal centrifugal casting in Procast kindly share. Thanks in advance.
