Compact scheme for nonuniform grid?
Hi, everyone:
Is there any compact finite difference scheme for 1dimensional nonuniform grid? I hope it is easy to follow. Thanks.
Re: Compact scheme for nonuniform grid?
The paper by Gamet et. al ,COMPACT FINITE DIFFERENCE SCHEMES ON NONUNIFORM MESHES. APPLICATION TO DIRECT NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF COMPRESSIBLE FLOWS International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids (1999) discusses the derivation of fourthorder compact scheme on nonuniform grids which is equivalent to the sixthorder scheme of Lele on uniform grids.

Re: Compact scheme for nonuniform grid?
You can use coordinate transformations. See papers by Visbal et al where they use high order compact schemes in 3D for nonuniform grids.

Dear Peter, Can you give the title of the paper you suggested author is visbal et al
