Mass transfer Term in Mixture Energy Equation
Hello, Consider a boiling flow with mass transfer.
d(rho alpha)/dt + ..= mdot
If I use a mixture energy model
d(rho*H)/dt + ..= grad (k grad T) + sources
I notice that many implementation does not have the mass transfer contribution (mdot * H) on the RHS.
By thermodynamics, latent heat Q has to be supplied for phase transfer and hence energy transfer from liquid - vapor. But i do not see this term in the mixture energy models.
If so, how does the latent heat term get into the energy equation dynamics??
Would be great if someone shed some physics in the mixture (homogeneous) energy equation modeling.
