I am trying to simulate a PDE.
I am actually new to this topic. Its a part of my internship. Can anyone guide me through how i should proceed with the simulation. My idea was to initially have a premixed mixture of kerosene and air in the pipe and then initially assign a small region near inlet with high temperature and pressure to start detonation. Can any one please tell how to do this simulation - as in the approach. So far, I've tried these - * A rectangular domain for pipe ( 2-D analysis ). Lenght - 2m Diameter - 43mm * I created a small line near the inlet part near axis. I thought i could assign a high temperature and pressure to get the detonation. I saw discussions where people suggested patching, but when i try to patch, the zones to select are just the whole fluid rectangular zone and i cannot select the small inlet line. can anyone please tell me how to create this detonation or provide me with link for tutorial. * its combustion of kerosene and air. Conditions - density- based, k-e standard, species transport, pressure inlet for the small region where detonation happens, implicit AUSM, hybrid intialization. * any conditions to be changed ? |
