I have just submitted my thesis to my supervisor to check. Once he approved it, it'll be submitted to the board of examiners.

So now I'm starting to look for postdoc and research positions in different places. I'm working in aerodynamics and I have gone to the websites of different university.

Most of them did not specify any available positions. Does it mean they are not hiring? I wonder if I should just email them to check? In that case, should I also attach my resume/cover letter as well? Or it is only necessary when they reply that they have some available positions.

I've also gone to some websites which list postdoc/research positions but they seem very limited. Anyone knows of better websites or better ways to find postdoc/research positions?
