I usually write all of my CFD codes in C/C++. My question is that learning progrmming in JAVA for CFD purpose is useful or not. Thanks. skg

I suggest you to go for Python

It is easier to program on it besides it has a lot of ready-to-use modules

Also, you can mixed your C/C++ code with python code easily

Depends what you mean by "learning JAVA" and "for CFD purposes".

For CFD number crunching JAVA is rarely a sensible choice because it is designed to exchanges speed for safety.

For the stuff that wraps around the CFD number cruncher then learning to use what is in the JAVA libraries might be a sensible choice depending on what you are trying to do.
