OpenFVM v1.0 Released
 

The OpenFVM project is pleased to announce the release of OpenFVM v1.0. OpenFVM is a general three-dimensional multiphase nonisothermal unstructured flow solver. This release contains a a new parallel implementation.

A welcome addition to the open community especially when using GMSH I will keep an eye on it

The code has no turbulent model. When will this be available?

You would be surprised when you log on a site such as sourceforge.net and check how many open source projects are there, almost 100 thousands. You realize there is a good number of citizens with good hearts and intentions living on this planet of ours. You would also realize there is a lot of uncoordinated activities over there, in the case of OpenFVM, at least they have started by using another open source project, GMSH, as their pre and post processor, and LASPACK for the sparse matrix routines, which is a good move. Let us hope they will keep this trend and bring some good stuff from Elmer, Gerris etc...
