Hello

I want to track the front of gaseous detonation by level set method. Does anyone have an experience about it?

should I use level set method or Ghost fluid method? which one do I select?

How can I obtain cellular structure of gaseous detonation?

Is there any apropriate method for track the front of detonation?

best regards.

I am using the GFM coupled with the LSM. The LSM provides the interface information(location). Based on the interface location, we need to treat the material interface. Due to the discontinuous adaptation of equations of state across the interface, a only use of the LSM may not be applicable to this problem. Especially, if the detonation is modeled by the JWL EOS, the problem becomes more difficult.

I think we would like to discuss somethings in this community since such discusssion may be helpful for someone else as well. Do not mind for this ask. I can answer you if you ask questions but the answer is only based on my experiences.
