Orr Sommerfeld equation
 

Hi, I am working on my thesis "laminar flow control in airfoil flow". I want to solve the Orr-Sommerfeld equation. I wrote a FORTRAN code for solving Orr-Sommerfeld equation in Blasius boundary layer, but it doesn't work properly. If anyone has got a similar code, I would be greatly thankful to receive it via email. And how I can develop that Blasius code for airfoil flow? Thanks.

Schmidt and Henningson Stability and transition in shear flows

They have some matlab codes. They will help you to get started but it is not for an airfoil. You can get the code from the website of Schmidt also.

It doesn't have the codes but you could look at

"Absolute and convective instabilities in separation bubbles. Aeronautical Journal, December 1995" by Allen & Riley.

They study the Orr-Sommerfeld equation for flow over and aerofoil.
