Turbomachinery

Dear All I am new in CFD. I am working on interl convection heat transfer in trailing edge of gas turbine blade. I have tree options Star CD, CFX and Fluent. I want to know which one is best to use in my case?? Kindest Regards Waseem Siddique

what kind of problem you are to deal with? in steady and stable problems CFX is more suitable choice. otherwise you can use fluent. star-cd is a very powerful software, but still lacks a good Coupled solver. Also it is not as user friendly as fluent is! good luck

What you say about Star-cd is correct, but Star-ccm+ has a coupled solver and is definitely easier to use than fluent (although I haven't used CFX).

yeah sure STAR-CCM+ is something! Generally, all of these tools can be used; but what finally becomes the key to suggest is which of which you have mastered well. the kind of problem is somehow complex and needs enough experience using either software.
