OpenFOAM or Fluent?
Hello guys. I have been conducting a research about the impact of waves on a semi-submersible platform. I started learning how to use OpenFOAM for my research and I already finished some simplified 3D simulations to get used to it. But I'm having problems with the mesh and the informations I find are quite confusing. My platform consists of 4 pillars connected to a square base, so it is not a very complex one. But I've been trying to create my own mesh with the blockMeshDict file and it constantly shows errors regarding neighbours cells. My question is: should I use snappyHexMesh or any similar tool? I am worried because I only have two months to finish it and to finish writing about it, I have been even thinking about trying Ansys Fluent but I also do not know if it would be a good idea. Sorry if it sounds a silly question, I am new here.
