Flow over a windshield wiper
I want to analyse the influence of the carīs geometry (windshield and hoodīs angle for example) in the force and moment loads on the axle of a windshield wiper, caused by the air flow.
So, I need a "generic" automobile geometry (something like a Ahmed body, but more representative). Iīve heard about a "Rover body", but I can not find any reference. Does anyone know here I can find some paper ou reference to this kind of generic geometry??? Thank you Zolet |
Re: Flow over a windshield wiper
Iīve found it!!!
There is this SAE paper: On the use of reference models in automotive aerodynamics. The paper reviews the design characteristics and use of several key reference models (Ahmed, Rover, NRSCC/SAE, MIRA, SAE/Pininfarina and many others). If anybody is working in something like this, email me I send the pdf file. Zolet |
