Analysis of a halogen lamp in ANSYS

I want to study the heat flow pattern generated by a halogen lamp kept in a closed chamber. I am giving the convection and radition on the halogen lamp and the surface of the chamber. Also I applied the heat generation on the halogen lamp in ANSYS. But I do not find any temperature increase on the surface of the chaber.

Can anybody tell me what is the correct method to do it. Also does ANSYS has the capability of doing such analysis?

1- What bc have you assigned to the surface of the chamber 2- When you ask "does ANSYS has the capability of doing such analysis?" what do you mean by that? ANSYS has a bunch of programmes and products. Which specific programme are you using? 3- What analysis technique are you using?

Re: Analysis of a halogen lamp in ANSYS

Actually I have designed a circular halogen lamp and a rectangular chamber of 3 mm thickness and size 200*220*100 (W*L*H). I am using ansys multiphysics. I am using radiation B.C. on the surface of the lamp and on inner surface of the chamber. Also I have given heat generation on the halogen volume.

But in the solution it shows that the halogen is generating the radiation but the radiations are not going on the surface of the chamber. Because of this there is no rise in the temperature of the chamber whereas the halogen is at around 500 to 800 degree centigrade temperature.

Can u please tell me what boundry condition shall I apply and what mistake I am making.
