Dear all,

Why one should consider the high velocity flow in aerospace as a inviscid flow and to use Euler equation ..? Can you give a better clarification as I believe viscosity plays a vital role in these kind of flows.....

thanks, naga

Stop it with the pathetic "URGENT" bullshit. It's not an urgent question, you brainless attention-seeking dolt.

there is no "should"

Euler is just simplification/approximation, so if you can solve viscose flow do it without concern, but solution of viscos-flow is more challenging (though more stable from numerical issue)

how can solvwe numerically pure Eluer in practice, no one as numerical viscosity can not be avoided at all

indeed, universe is viscos media

If you non-dimensionalize the Navier-Stokes momentum equations you will notice that the viscous terms are multiplied with 1/Re term. Which means as the Re number approaches infinity, the effect of viscous terms can be neglected.

But if you have flow in presence of solid boundaries, I do not think you can solve Euler equations since the viscous effects are important in the boundary layer near the walls.

Learn to use a subject line, bozo. "Urgent" doesn't really describe the problem, does it?
