Microsoft Excel Goal Seek Algorithm

Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone knows what solution method Microsoft Excel uses in its Goal Seek function?

It seems pretty fast and I was wondering whether it may be worthwhile duplicating the algorithm for solving some nonlinear eqns in Fortran. Cheers Bren

I often use MS Excel and its files too,but several days ago I opened my well-known excel file and was astonished, reason of it was damaged. But how fortunate that I found an interesting software in the Internet - Microsoft Excel unable to read file. After that I used the software I was surprised, because of the utility resolved my trouble quite rapidly and free of charge as far as I remember.
