Default Non reflecting boundary condition

I wanna define nonreflecting boundary condition for numerical simulation on wall. I know we can absorb wave with porous wall but i wanna define a boundary condition which absorb shock wave without mass diffusion. Do you have any experience about it? could you please help me about it. I try some numerical method such as characteristic method, .. but when i defined it,it reflect shock waves.

I've studied the articles by K.W. Thompson: Time dependent boundary conditions for hyperbolic systems I & II but this kind of boundry condtion define just for outlet or inlet i wanna to denfine it (( on wall )). I Know about sponge layer but this kind of boundary condition need some space to decrease amplitude of wave but i wanna define a wall which doesnt have any diffusion of mass.

You can use the ghost points boundary condition of Dong and Tam for cartesian coordinates or the ghost point BC of Hixon ( AIAA) for curvilinear coordinates. Both the BC has been defined to implement high order wall boundary conditions required to prevent the contamination of the solution in Computational Aeroacoustics when high-order finite difference schemes are employed. Also you can look for the papers by Kim et. al from UK for implementation of characteristic boundary conditions with inclusion of non linear terms and the paper by Poinsot and Lele (1992, JCP) for the same but including only linear terms.

PS: I do not have the papers. Search wall boundary condition or boundary conditions for compressible flows in google scholar to find the exact paper names.

Hello all,
Has any one come up with a resolution for non-reflecting boundary condition? Preferably I need to know how to impose a numerical beach in the domain.

Well, the answer I gave was regarding the missing link, which is pointing to a broken link of an online manual of Fluent 6.3.
