3d FCT code ?

Does anyone know where I could find a three dimensional flux-corrected transport (FCT) code ?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

you might try the Laboratory for Computational Physics and Fluid Dynamics at the Naval Research Lab in Washington. Jay Boris is the director and I heard a presentation by him at a conference where he presented some work on a FCT code that they developed: FAST3D flow solver!

See the page: http://www.lcp.nrl.navy.mil/lcpfct/

There is a download of a report and some subroutines:

"The basis of the FAST3D flow solver is the Flux-Corrected Transpor (FCT) algorithm. This algorithm, including a discussion on accuracy, stability, use in multi-dimensions, boundary conditions and example test problems, are detailed in the following report:"

Check it out, I have not looked at any of it so I cant give an oppinion!

Also, since you are in the states, they may offer service to US citizens!

It is pretty dated stuff...I think that the orginal paper by Boris and Book was early 70's! Why do you want to use FCT?

Regards, Duane
