hi guys,

does anyone know if there is any formula or expression to calculate the height which a sediment particle can vertically jump while in a turbulent flow?

a sediment generally moves by saltation like rolling, jumping, etc. i want to find the jump height given i know the particle diameter, density and the flow velocity.

any ideas, thanks.
